Very moody image. Well seen from far way. I liked the composition too. Not easy in any way. The calm water and the reflection add a lot here. Well done Dennis.

Beautiful image, Dennis. Might I suggest a bit more of a fade between that darker band at the top and the softer blue below it. You definitely don't want to lose that top ribbon but maybe a softer transition between the two would not pull the eye quite as much?

The duck is lovely...and the break in the water is nice against all that stillness.

Love the image design and the fog but not the big blue color cast. Used Robert O'Toole's average blur color balance trick at 100% and it produced a nice neutral color balance.

when i first viewed the image i thought i did like the cool cast but after seeing Arthur's repost i have to agree with him that the color cast should go.

i do love the tranquility of this image. the composition and exposure look perfect to me.

    congrats on a beautiful image.

Love the mood of it and the placement of the bird in the frame. I would crop out the darker area on the top.

For me the dark area at the top is necessary for the success of the image :)

Great composition, Dennis. Much prefer Artie's repost. Fog enhances the subject and provides a mood to the overall.

Thanks everybody for your kind words, and thanks Artie for the repost and tip as it does look much better. Hope to see you Susan someday out West again. Everybody have a nice Easter.
