Ken...you nailed this one! The super long, wavy stem carries your eye through the entire image. The BG mimics what you're looking at without distracting from the main focal point. The colors and lighting are magical. More, more, more!!!

Ken, if you took this inside, what did you use for the background, and how did you set up the moss?

Lovely! Great colors, light and simplicity. I would crop it some, which I took the liberty to do. I, too, want to know what you used for the lovely BG. :)

This strand is about 3/4" long. I found a clump of moss about 3" in diameter that one of our horses must have dug up when running so I put it on a small plate and brought it inside. The BG is more of this same moss. These moss "forests" are really cool because besides the mosses, there are all sorts of other interesting looking miniature plants.

I now have a collection of moss clumps that I keep in a small plastic tub on my back porch so there definitely will be more shots coming in the near future. :)

Great idea and a lovely shot Ken. Love the wavy stem and unusual colour of the moss. I like Anita's comp with maybe just a little smaller crop from the left. The only thing missing is a tiny little bug (as in a previous great shot of yours). ;):)

Ken, Wow! The colors are so alive and beautiful. I think Anita's comp. really makes this great. Very nice-simple yet powerful!:)

    Ken,

Job well done. Agree with the nice comments. Great example of the K.I.S.S. principal.
    Keep them coming...

I'm OK with the K.I.S. but I'm not so sure about that last S. ;)
