    American Goldfinch

This little finch posed for some shots a bit longer then normal and of course I didn't mind at all.
She was blowing around in the wind so I blasted off shots hoping the flowers would line up to my liking also
giving me sharp images worth keeping. I did crop this for composition I left the small amount of oof flowers on the
right for balance in the image. I like the spring time feel to this.:)

    Thanks For Looking

I like the spring-time feel to this image too! The two twigs make this horizontal comp work well (otherwise a vertical would have been preferable). I do wish for a better HA for this pose, even if it is currently parallel to the camera. Awesome colours, and very sharp as posted.

Very nice bird and light, I also like the composition. I also wish for a better HA but that's about it.

What a beautiful capture, Jim! It does, indeed, scream spring. I like the image very much but wonder what it would look like with the vertical flowers on the far right side out of the mix - I think it would rebalance the image nicely and keep my eye on that bird even more.

James, nicely framed in the V of the plant/perch, and just love the yellows in this.
