This is my last post for awhile of the flicker. Although the ha is non existent in this capture I found the action interesting as he was dive bombing the european starling. It definitely was a real battle and unfortunately the starlings won out. Thanks Axel and John for all the info you provided.

Another neat picture of this species! I'd prefer if it were placed higher in the frame, but good action indeed. I love the great view of the red nape...cool (it kinda looks like the red triangle on your Nikon doesn't it!):D

haha!! now it's a NIKON bird!!:D nice one, daniel!

i agree with daniel about going a little higher in the frame. the blurred wings really show the action. i like it. you really racked up some images!!!

Another great shot in your series, Judy, I really like the intensity of the bird's action. Ditto above, I would like to see it vertically framed.

Judy, that is INCREDIBLE! You can really feel the action and the intensity of the dive! I'd also like to see a vertical with some of the negative space on the right gone. Fantastic!

Judy lovely stop action image here and the yellows are very beautiful on this male. I've really enjoyed the Flicker/Starling series that your and Fabs have been sharing with us.

HA not needed on this one as his focus is where it needs to be, on the Starling. I really like the contrast between the lines and spots and the colors. Neat to see the yellow ones for a change from the orange ones we have here.

Judy, we all know how difficult it is to capture a diving bird, and you nailed it here. Good dorsal view, and love the colours. Well captured.
