I,m posting this more to just share the image as I was very limited in my view port. Too many giant canons in my way.:) I was fortunate to be able to attend the banding of the three eaglets born to a nesting pair in the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Norfolk, VA. The Center for Conservation Biology at the College of William and Mary band a lot of the eaglets in the Chesapeake bay area. As it turned out only one of the eaglets was big enough to band. It was a great oppurtnity and I am glad that I went. There is a live cam on this eagles nest, follow the link from here: http://www.norfolkbotanicalgarden.or...nity/eagle-cam

Peter, this is too cute - it is nice to hear that the banding program is working out well. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Peter - IMHO - Powerful image - tells a story and the story i get from it is -- how Humankind hold that fate of so many other species in their hands.
