I usually don't like taking blurs of birds that are sitting still but the wind was blowing and I liked the way this one looked w/ the Pelican in front. I also added a duplicate layer to enhance the blur and did some eye work. I didn't want the eye to look too clear- your thoughts would be appreciated.

By far the best and most captivating blur I've seen so far. The duplicate layer is a master stroke. Fantastic work, denise:)

    Hey Denise,
Very nice grouping and the soft feel is very nice but what gets me is the bolder FG pelican....very nice contrasts there and just the right amount of blur to keep enough detail and make it very appealing.

Beautiful composition, Denise. I like the feel and the mood here. Great idea to duplicate the layer!

The pelican is the bomb and makes the image. I will need a private lesson on the duplicate layer thing. With blurred images the moving heads are most problematic as here with the right hand egret. All in all I like it ALOT.

Thanks folks. I appreciate your comments.
Artie I added the extra blur to the Egrets- :) I was trying to make the Pelican the main focus.
