Photographed last year at the beach. The Heerman's Gull is probably my favorite gull species, and is very common here in the winter.

It is a little tight for my tastes, but I already added some canvas on the right side of the frame.

Aidan, I wish these gulls came over here. I love gulls and this one is mighty handsome.

I really like the low angle and the DOF. 330mm, huh? must have been close. As sweet a BG as you can wish for. Well done.

Since the gull is looking down, I'd take some off the top. That might make it too pano...so may be add a little more at bottom if u have in orig.

Beautiful light and angle. Wonderful BG. I agree with Kaustubh on taking off a little at the top.

They may be common in your area but I agree that it is a very good-looking species. The low angle, light, sharpness look very good, I might just give it a bit more room.

Hey Aiden, sweet image. Lovely light, warm colours, and love the bubbles in the surf.

One of my favorite gulls. This looks to be a bird that hasn't completed it's moult. When in adult plumage they are stunning gulls. Well done on the image. ;)

Nice light and colors. I also like the low angle and the surf bubbles. The eye looks a little pixelated to me but it might be the color of the iris?

Lovely bird, I like the picture, quite similar to the dolphin gulls we have down here.

Thanks everyone. Steve, that is just the color of the iris.
