    I've discovered when these guys are hunting fiddler crabs you can get quite close. This was created at MFD. That is the last meal's leg sticking out of beak. Just love these beauties eyes. Image made at Ding Darling. 1DMKIIN 400DO 2xtc ISO 800 F11@1/400

    Great close up of the bird, David, a little tight for my tastes. The eye shows the concentration.

    Hi David Love this one I'm a fan of tight head shots and this is just fine for me Most things we do is a mater of taste What attracts me to the image is the prominent eye and I want very little to distract me !!!!

    Yes, Fabs, this is about a 70% crop all around to use strong diagonal formed by head and focus on that amber eye. I guess somewhere in between the original and this crop would keep us all happy! LOL!!!
