Whoa! Magnificent frontal open wing pose! That stare straight ahead is priceless!
beautiful pose,eye contact,wing position!
Love the timing Denise and the incredible eye contact. He is giving you quite the look !! Excellent detail and flight pose . Well done.
A really awesome flight shot Denise. Great wing pose, wonderful light and perfect exposure. It's great to see both eyes. You really nailed that one!
Markus
Perfect landing pose! I assume this is the female from her necklace? Only thing I might suggest is a slight burn on some of the bright branches in the nest. Do love the lack of shadows and both eyes visible.
Whoa! Beautiful, Denise! Fantastic pose and I like the light.
Beautiful spread wings and stare and I like that you have the nest in the composition. Nice that you can go out with one of the masters as well.
Great incoming pose captured with great eye contact. It would work well with or without the nest.
Excellent light and beautiful landing pose Denise, you nailed this one. like it a lot!

Denise this is one quality image!! Timing, wing span, but those eyes!! Well done!!
that's some nice light on that bird, neese. james does a great job of getting you in the right spots!!!! all looks great on my end!!
Eye contact is OUTSTANDING. Just the right amount of nest for the base of the photo.
Very nice Denise, great capture! Love the eyes and the angle.
I like it. If anything would slightly selectively darken the BG.
Thank you all for your kind comments. Much appreciated. James really does get you right up there.:) And again thanks to Artie for taking me.
Ditto all above. I think that I remember that bird. I might go with a bit more snap and possibly a tad less RED.

Artie, Thanks. I did de-saturate the reds and upped the contrast and it does look better. :)
Denise, I am late to the party, but I have to say this image is super. The detail is striking and the "look" is just stunning. Great job.
Denise, I loved the comp a lot. Awesome pose and light too. Looks like you had a great time.
I dont know how the nest looks in orig, but I must say it does look a little too tidy :-) But I have no experience with Osprey nests.
Great looking frame dennise, nice light, great pose and the nest adds to the setting very well...

Thanks, Ed, Kaustubh and Kiran, I appreciate the kind comments.
Kaustubh, As Artie has pointed out (thanks Artie) the nest didn't need much clean up. I didn't clean it. I just extended it down a bit to cover the bright orange. I should have been more clear when writing "nest work" :)
Hey Denise, Thanks for the clarification. Excellent work on the nest; you coulda fooled me :) ;) :)

Thx Denise. Usually, you see a few sticks sticking out. But this is indeed not the case here.
Thx Artie.
Here is another more typical nest from that same morning. James Shadle has lots more up his sleeve than just spoonbills :)

And here, for educational purposes only, is the same bird on the nest. Image created with the handheld 800 f/5.6L IS and the MIV. (Small crop.)

Artie nice C/U of the osprey's head One eye has 2 catchlight did you use fill-flash?
Good eye Myer. Flash was not used. The second highlight was created by the sun's reflection off the water. I removed the second highlight from the bird's left eye but neglected to do so on the right eye. I will repair the optimized TIFF file :) Thanks for your help.

Hey Denise, excellent landing posture, and capturing a full wingspread. Overall sharp, and I like the eye contact. Congrats.
Fantastic in coming pose and sharp details. I like the eye contact and the nest looks great. I wouldn't touch the sky it looks fine. I like the soft subtle color tones of it.
Artie, Nice close up.:)
Stuart and Michael, Thank you both very much. Michael, I will leave the BG as is. Thanks.:)
Lovely landing image. The wingspread , the eye contact , the nest in the FG. What more can you ask for ???
Rakesh, Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. It is much appreciated.
