Embarrassing...

First off, did I spell embarrassing correctly? If so, it would be even more embarrassing than having to search my files for images created at shutter speeds of 1/8 second of slower.... IAC, I created this one at Bosque in the aftermath of a huge blast off that we had waited almost two hours for....

Canon 70-200mm f/4L IS lens with the EOS-1D MIII. ISO 50. Evaluative metering +1/3 stop: 1/8 sec. at f/18. (The original was surely underexposed at only +1/3 stop; my excuse? The sun was out ten seconds before :)

Artie, I love the amount of blur and seeing the frame filled with birds. The tiny bit at the bottom right seems too small as an anchor for the image. IMHO.:)

Thanks Denise. I am never quite sure what to do with that strip of corn field... Can't blur it and do not want to crop it. So I left it :)

You definitely spelled it correctly, Arthur so no need to be "embarrassed". I'm with Denise on the corn field but I love the motion and blur of this. It really brings back memories of the Alfred Hitchcock classic!

If y'all think that the was density check this one out; it was created just 29 seconds before the image in Pane 1. It is the same group of birds. In that small time frame a cloud covered the sun. I wish that the cloud would have arrived 29 seconds earlier!
