    Default EsSss Curve

Ran across this fellow staking claim to a sunny spot on a hiking trail this past weekend.

D3 200 f/2 + 1.7 TC (340 mm) ISO 200 1/800 @ f/4.0 artistic post (20-30 layers, curves, layer blending, edge enhancements, sharpening for effect, color fill, color curves). Cloned out long blurred grass (over scales, sigh).

    Thanks for looking.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

that is one bad boy there!!! love the position you got him in. i'm wondering what it would look like if you darkened the corners a little. would put even more emphasis on the face of the snake. i really like the PP work you put into it!! nice job and big congrats!!

Agree with Harold's comments, and can only add that if this were mine it would have been 800mm plus teleconverters rather than a 200mm
    Well done

    Harold, Gail, Arash, Alfred,

Thanks much for the comments... I'll try a darker corner vignette (I did lighten up the center a bit)...

This is a pretty big guy (of course, any rattler rattling away in a striking pose looks pretty big)... I had my tele rig on and was shooting between two relatives with shorter lenses ;) ...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-
