    Default Long-tailed Duck

Photographed at Barnegat Light in January. The beautiful soft afternoon light and calm water made this one for me.

Great shot. I like the composition here. The diagonal line of the tail is great.

Axel, I like the curved up tail and the sweet water colors. Nice pose and details.

Well placed in the frame Axel, and I like the stately pose. Lovely soft light, well exposed, and just love those pastel colours in the BG. I also like the hint of the wave infront of him.

Was shooting there with Roman a few weeks ago. The rough water made it pretty tough to maintain focus on these bobbing birds. Real nice image, love the tails and love the soft light and texture of the water.

Beautiful, Axel. Love the pose and colors. Maybe just a tad sharper.

Love the light and the calm water, EXP right on as usual. Not crazy about the in between head position.

Really like the water and colours.
I also like how the bird is swimming in toward you. It adds to the pose.

Sweet, sweet, sweet. You spent a lot of time there this winter with some great results. It looks as if the bird is calling. A bit more contrast would work for me.

Axel, just cant have enough of this bird. The tail angle is making this one superb. Exposure perfect as usual. Thx for sharing.

Thanks, Artie! It's been a great winter for sea ducks at Barnegat Light and I tried to make most of it.

Like the calm water and the upright tail feathers. Sharpness and exposure are up to your usual standards of excellence. I agree with Fabs about the in-between head position.
