A typical take off from a Pied Kingfisher diving for his next meal. I have tried to recover some of the shadow area on top of the head and wings. Taken in the Pilanesberg nature reserve last June. Extended the canvas below for more space to fly into, and cloned away a part of the perch to allow some separation from the kingfisher.

Cool pose and BG. If the sun would have been behind you, it would have been even stronger.

Nice flight shot, background is nice. Maybe you could lighten up the shadow of the bird on the brench.

You've got a lightning-fast trigger finger Stuart. Perfect timing. The light angle is challenging, but you made the most of it.

Great wing pose. You hit the shutter button at exactly the right moment.

Great capture. As I am learning getting the exposure correct in birds like this takes some practice and patience. Very nice job.

Like the dive position, details and BG, agree that light could be better but you did the best given the situation.

Well, I'd like to know who is training who? You the bird or the bird you? :)

Excellent done for all the reasons mentioned.

The EXP problems here were a result of the light angle. You did well in a tough situation.

Really like the angle of the KF, the wingspan, and the BG color here Stuart.
