    The reflections of the foliage surrounding the gator looked interesting. I played with Topaz Adjust 4 and Viveza to give me a surrelistic look
    D300s Nikon lens
    200-400mm @ 260mm
    390mm (in 35mm film)
    1/250 sec, f/4
    Mode: Manual
    Metering: Spot
    Exp comp: -1/3
    ISO: 400
    AF mode: AF-C
    White balance: AUTO
    Flash: Off

    Myer, I like the dark mysterious look you have created. I think the gator could be a little lower in the frame. I might lighten the eye area just a bit more. Very nicely done.:)

    Denise, Thanks for the comments, muchly appreciated. Here is the repost. I am sitting by my computer as it ius pouring outside, here in Massachusetts, the streams are overflowing. I may try for some scenics with everthing in raingear

    Myer,

    THe recrop was the way to go. I will almost always place them lower or higher in the frame depending upon the reflections (how good they are) and which way the gator is facing diagonally.
