    Superb detail and eye contact and a very nice BG. I only wish to see a little more canvas at the bottm for the virtual feet. Your exposure was spot on. Many thanks for sharing this beauty.

    Excellent detail, pose and BG. As other have mentioned it's too tight in the frame as presented.

    well every one this is the frame i got and i just didnt feel like increasing the canvas. this fellow was really close

    Great details and I don't mind it being a bit tight as that tends to be my style as well most of the time. What is he looking at?

    hello steve,

    he was just looking up and gasping in the mid afternoon sun as he was trying to cool off. all the ten owls in the group we spotted were behaving similarly. they allowed us to take our vehicles up to 5 feet from them.

    I agree it is a superb image "virtual feet" is needed. I do lose feet when shooting by not paying attention to the viewfinder

    Great pose and sharpness. I agree that a looser crop would be nicer, but as you point out this image is FF. I might back off on contrast just a little.
