This is an abstract of an image taken overlooking the crater toward the eruption plume of Kilauea. I was working on some images of the scene when I needed a break and in the normal style switched the vision to an abstract version.
Modifications in PS4 included; Polar Coordinates (Polar to Rectangular), Cropping out the blank background areas, Hue & Saturation, Duplicating the image and flipping both vertical and horizontal for alignment. Thought it was an interesting result. Wish I would have done this a few weeks ago, for abstract week! :( ;)
Mark, Interesting abstract. I like the colors and the lighting. I might evict the 2 brown spots towards the bottom of the frame if it were mine. Nicely done:)
If you decide to take the brown spots out, try using the pucker tool in the Liquify filter. Set it right over the brown spots and watch it suck the surrounding areas together...
I LOVE the colors and patterns in this one, Mark! You do such highly graphic work and I think that's your strong point. You have a real sense of color and design.
Thanks all for viewing and comment. Appreciate it.
I didn't catch that it had rotated 180 degrees, after I saved it the first time!!! For some reason the flip didn't work, so I copied the left one and positioned it over the right area. It worked great in the original and I thought I had compressed the layers and saved it that way. But somehow it didn't hold! :(
I forgot I did it, or I would have checked before posting.
Will correct later, if needed on the original, don't know if I will repost it.
