    Default Hello from Ohio

Hi everyone!!! I am a fairly new at bird photography, but have been doing other kinds of nature photography for about 40 years- I guess that really dates me!! I was in Flordia for 3 months and really enjoyed shooting at Ding Darling, Corkscrew Swamp, and Celery Fields in Sarasota to name a few. I also had the pleasure of going out with one of our moderators James Shadle-I learned a lot from him!!! I will be shooting with a Canon 50D as my 40D was recently ruined. I also have a 5D MKII but save that for landscape photography. I am also getting a Canon 500mm lens- my 400 mm f 5.6 was also ruined. I recently went out in Ohio for Migration Sensation Saturday in Shreve Ohio. I quickly found out that shooting birds in marshes here it much different-the bird look like ants as they were so far away
