I am excited to join this community of photographers dedicated to the improvement of their craft! Some of you may have heard of the newly designated Cascade Siskiyou Wilderness located in the southern Oregon Siskiyou/Cascade mountains. That's where I call home. I live adjacent to this fantastic place, where shooting opportunities abound. Recently, I walked outside and saw a great horned owl perched in a tree about 100' from my house!
Enjoying nature and my appreciation of all things wild is my passion. I have a dream of documenting the flora/fauna/wildlife of this magnificent area.
5yrs ago I purchased a small retail photography store. We continue to offer our customers more than a place to buy product, we are dedicated to providing education through classes and one on one dialogs with our customers.
I'm prefer Canon equipment, but not one to say that other brands do not offer good options. I do consider myself a purest, however, I'm not too much into "digital art" I prefer to always go for the best image out of the camera, and then use post processing enhancement where appropriate. I do enjoy fine art photographic renderings in canvas.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you and sharing interesting ideas and info.
