Still water made this shot more interesting. Spring must be coming in MN.

Sweet capture Don and great to get Mr and Mrs together. Would love to see a little more head turn from the female to get more direct eye contact. Love the low angle and this image is so peaceful and beautiful to look at. The wake and the reflections are a lovely bonus to this capture and although these mergansers are centered it works for me. The color of the water is a lovely contrast. Many thanks for sharing.

High on the cute factor scale. I would also like to see a better HA. Are the white clipped on the front bird?

Hi Don, I like the pair and the blue wake is lovely. To bad both birds did not corporate with good head angles. I was wondering if a crop the moved the birds up and to the left would help by de-emphasize the less than ideal had angle of the female and move the drake out of the center. I also might try some shadow/highlight adjustment to bring a little more detail out of the darks and to tone down the whites just a bit (I don't find them blocked just my personal taste). Thanks for sharing.

HA mentioned already, but I really like the water, especially the wake the birds are leaving. Beautifully captured and very nice to see the pair.
