I was trying to shoot a tiger in rain in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in India. I just missed it by a couple of minutes. It was waiting under a tree barely 50 meters away...Dejected, having missed the tiger, I was returning back when i came across a herd of Gaur - Bos Gaurus. They are mistakenly known as Indian bison. It was dark and drizzling. I tried to shoot a young gaur near my jeep which was grazing. Suddenly, in youthful exuberance this young gaur charged me. I quickly did a flash blur as my driver started the jeep.

Equipment: Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 300mm F4 L IS USM. Canon 580 EX.
    ISO 800, 1/4 at f4, handheld.

Well that is downright scary looking as well as an interesting affect. If you have more room in the original, restoring the clipped ear would strengthen it. You can also desaturate the eyes and put a catch light it to make it look more natural.

I think it's an interesting affect and I like the image. Cuttng off the ear is understandible in a situation such as this. Well done...

Great reaction timming to get this image at all. Even with the 300mm lens looks like it was getting close real fast.
    Best,
    Howard
