    Default Landing Owl

    Manual Metering
    Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/2000)
    Aperture: f/8.0
    Focal Length: 200 mm
    ISO Speed: 1600
    Exposure Bias: +1/3 EV
    Flash: No Flash

Background is busier than I like, but I guess that is just part of the wildlife.
I was aiming at this owl on the perch and it took off and land on a perch that is on the side.

Awesome action captured in this image. Great detail and exposure too. Particularly like how the surroundings enhance this image. Well done and thanks for sharing Troy.

Judy, thank you. You don't think the BG is distracting? I guess you either like it or don't like it. :)

    Hi Troy,
Nice sharp picture with lots of feather detail. Also your timing is great with the full wing spread. The background is fine just looks unusual to me as we normally see these guys up here in Canada in a cedar or a fir tree. Your background looks quite tropical so it is a different take on this type of owl for me.

I like the feather detail and colour. Good pose showing a nice wing spread. I do find the BG distracting.
