    Coming in for a landing. This was taken yesterday morning. The geese are reassembling for their trip back to Russia. 50D, 500 +1.4TC, 1/1000, f/5.6, ISO800. I levelled it off and removed some bright areas in the bushes. There was not much i could do about the light coming from the right, so I just tried to work the wind as well as I could.

    I like the bird's position in the frame and I can't detect your ps work. The back and upper wings kind of fade into the bg but I'm not sure what you can do about that, it's just the lighting angle that you had.

    Dave, I think Nate hit on all the points. I like the dangling feet and the head angle looks good. I think you handled the lighting well.

    Thanks for the comments. The thing that attracted me to this photo was the soft look to it, and perhaps I over did it. Next time and tks again.
