I liked the BG colours in this flight of a very fast flying pigeon. Taken at a local birding spot in Pretoria.

Such beautiful lighting Stuart and lovely flight pose with excellent detail and eye contact. Really love the BG in this image. The shadow catches my eye but almost impossible to avoid sometimes. Still a wonderful capture. Many thanks for sharing.

Lovely colours and amazing detail - ISO 1250, you have realtively little noise - did you use a noise reduction programme?

    Hi Stuart

I often take feral pigeon photos when I want to do some BIF practice or try out a new camera body. They are not easy birds to get in flight. Great colour in the background and the colourful parts of the birds, eye and neck, really shine on this. I also like the downbeat wing position and the sadow does not bother me much as that just how it is.

    cheers

Nice one Stu. Good light and feather detail. Noise from high ISO visable on feathers.

Beautiful in flight capture Stu. That green luminescence is lovely and the bird is pin sharp. Super bg.:)
