A courting Anhinga pair. Yes, I wish for better female HA. What about the color balance? All comments appreciated.

Seeing the courting actions are great. I hope to get courting pictures someday. It would be nice if the shadow areas were a little lighter with more detail. I believe some fill flash would have helped fill in the shadow areas. I would also prefer the sky to be a little darker. I do not know a lot about color balance yet so hopefully someone else can help you out on that.

It looks like very low angled lighting, was it evening? This would make contrast high anyway. A little shift to the yellow but that is the tint for that time. The pose of the male is great with its eyes and fluffed feathers.

Nice capture of this intimate courting moment. The male HA looks fine, and I like his extended wings. As for color balance, it seems a bit too yellow. In the repost I used the PS color balance tool to up the blue (yellow-blue slider) by about 30 points; maybe it's too much blue (not sure) but overall it looks a little more natural. Also opened up the shadows a bit.

Thanks, Keith. It did look a little too yellow for me. The AM sun was indeed at a very low angle and the sky was actually darker. I made it lighter in curves.
