    Default Dive and Splashes

It's been a long time since I posted anything as I was busy getting married and building my own nest! :D
This particular image was done during my annual visit to Langkawi for the raptor photography last year. These raptors are used to being fed with chicken bits by the local boatmen and as many as 50 of them will come diving down once the chicken bits are scattered over the water. Would love to have a fish in his claws though.

Wing spread and water action looks great here -- the white bar across the top takes some attention away from the bird for me.

Welcome back, nice to see you here again Jay!

Awesome image, the sharpness and the low angle are just about perfect, the up turned primaries are perfect!

Wish the chicken meat wasnt visible but I still like it as is. Great job.

Langkawi is in Malaysia I believe right?

    Thanks for the kind comments!

Robert, yeah I've missed so much in here in these months. Langkawi is in Malaysia. If you are in the region, should try to make a trip there. One can really go trigger happy!

Very nice action you managed to capture here. Love the curled primaries! I too find the large white stripe above distracting though.

Is that a white-bellied sea eagle?

Fantastic action. The light on those droplets creating a very dramatic effect. loved those primaries and the composition.

Next time I am back in Malaysia, let's go shoot together. I usually spend a week or two in Singapore.
And great shot, love the action.
