One of my favorite birds. Good whites and love the eye and eye ring. Would like to see a smaller perch and may use a larger f stop to help blur the background and get a faster shutter speed.

Hi Craig Good points by Bill and fully agree, with this type bg would minimize the dof .. but can do afterwards in PS !!

Re posted blurring the bg a bit and cropping some from top and bottom. For the bg you have many ways of doing, duplicating then blurring and making a layer mask would be one but I just use PhotoKit Sharpener which has softening brushes !! btw also darken the corners slightly to funnel attention on the bird.

Love the image and setting would only back down the sharpening a little and go after the head area !! Excellent image !!!

Hi Craig, Al's repost did it for me. The further blurring of the backround and cropping strenghtened the image. I might even crop a small bit more off the left....

Hi craig - agree with the above - Al's repost has improved - F9 as you can see was not required here - blurring the BG helped separate the bird from the BG.
