    Another shot from last weekend in the San Luis Valley. It was -2F that morning....burrrrr. I think it warmed up to about 10F by the time I took this one.

    I really like the open wing pose and how the colors of bird fit into the background. :)

    I love the cols-looking habitat depicted, and awesome wingspread with good detail in the feathers. Although the light angle gave you some nice illumination on the wings and legs I am not super crazy about the shaded head and neck.

    P.S. The square crop was a good choice here!
