This little guy has stayed partially closed much of the time, as they must like bright sun, but the partially closed posture is just as lovely. It seems a shame to feature this on white or black bg, so I added a complimentary texture and gave it a motion blur and lightened it so as not to compete with the flower.

Very nice and lively, with great colors and glow.

Barbara, Nice view of a Gazania. I like the texture BG and the colors pop. Very nicely presented.

Thanks, Fabs, Chris, and Denise. I didn't know if this would be better in the macro forum or not. I'm confused what goes where and what software is allowed.

Barbara, It does seem hard w/ all the programs available today. I think added texture or overlays should be posted here.:)

Hi Barbara, I feel this is an exceptional image. The lighting, color and detail are very well handled. The textured complimentary backround is also a plus. The slight tilt also adds to the image. Well done!

Barbara, gorgeous color and detail. I like the tight composition and the added texture in the BG really complements the flower!:)

Beautiful flower Barbara. Like the slight diagonal and the BG. Anything with a filter added I think qualifies for OOTB.
