    Default Yellow Rumped Warbler

Spring has sprung and birds are returning. This was taken this morning. Not as much detail or sharpness as i would have liked. Perhaps it is getting used to 500mm plus a 1.4TC. It is a bit of a crop and I blurred bg and removed two distracting branches.
    50D, 500mm plus 1.4TC, 1/800, f/8, EC 2/3 and ISO400.

Beautiful perch Dave, i heard the warblers were back at Reifel already, should be soon for the rest of the area.
I like the pose, detail, head-turn and spring-like colours.
i might be inclined to crop in even a bit closer.

The white flowers are merging with the white bg, can something be done about that? Shadow/highlight maybe?

Nice colours. Nice compo with the flowers. Not sure if the flowers in the background are disturbing or nice

I like the perch, eye contact, sharpness and light. The blossoms in the BG compete a bit with the subject.

Superb deatils, colors and exp on the bird. The flowers and Bg finish it off nicely

Lovely setting, and well placed in the frame. I like the colours on the warbler, and agree the OOF flowers do unfortunately compete.

Really a stunning image. Love the blossoms and the wonderful sharp details. Excellent exposure and lovely eye contact. I agree the blossoms in the BG compete a little but the image is so beautiful that I love it as presented. Many thanks for sharing.

I love the bird and the perch. I'm not crazy about the BG. I do wish you had pointed your lens a little lower as I would have preferred the warbler higher in the frame, with more of the perch showing below.
