Default Any current Viera Wetlands reports?

I'm headed to Florida next week for spring break. I'll be all over but I thought about heading over to Viera Wetlands one day. Any good reports from there and.........is the Masked Duck gone?
    Thanks.

Lana the masked duck has not been seen for awhile, so assumed gone. I was there last Friday and got images of bald eagles, caracaras, least bitterns and GBH's, who have nests in the middle of the wetlands. Oh and I forgot there are still some ring necked ducks about. Do call the office ahead if it has rained the day before because they tend to close it to cars then, phone # 321 255 4329.

Had some photographers at the park today who had just come from Viera, they said the action was pretty good, with Limpkins, GBH, eagles, cara cara, bitterns and the usual suspects.

Suggestion call the plant manager, as rain, will close the access to cars driving, you can always walk it, but it's a long one for sure!

Thanks, Don. I've been there before and know about calling ahead for road conditions.
