    Default lightshow

That time of year has arrived again for chasing lightning here in Arkansas and I always enjoy it.
I think the storms are getting meaner.

    Hey Daniel,
Very nice bolt! I really like the detail you have in there and the storm glow is awesome on the buildings......now if only you lived in Utah:D! Building not my favorite....but it works well!!!

I think because the lightning is more prominant....it is stronger but I like the cloud in the first. Is it me or do both images have a CCW lean?.....I'm looking at the tower. Now....do you have any more room on the right in the repost? bottom on both?......sliver more on both. I am debating a crop off the left on the repost......even though it shows the leading edge of the rain....the lightning is the star and a crop would even further emphasize the lightning.

Hi Daniel, I like the repost better. The lightening is more dominant and a crop off the left as Roman was debating works for me. I too am questioning the CCW lean since the buildings seem to be going in that direction. Lots of drama when one captures a bolt like that!

Good eyes on the lean. I was able to level the photo on my end after you brought it to my attention. Looks better! I had set up in a hurry and captured 15 different lightning images in about 10 minutes before the rain hit us.My low noise reduction was on and I missed alot of shots because of the slow write to the card.Never turned it back on.

I agree with everybody here, this is a terrific capture, and not easy to get I might add. The crop is better but in my opinion, I like the cloud on the right, its pushing against the lightning a bit and creates a dynamic, if you could cut it right at the edge of the big ugly building on the far right, that would really improve it, but its good as the cropped version too. A stunner!
