This was taken last week while visiting Joe Overstreet. It is always a pleasure to hear the meadowlarks and even more of a pleasure to be able to photograph these beautiful little songbirds.

What a superb image Judy - great exposure, detail and composition - and to catch the songlark singing was a huge bonus!!!

This is nice Judy. I don't have anything to say about it technically, just that seeing this brings back fond memories of wandering in fields as a kid with these guys singing their songs everywhere I went. I think I'll sleep well tonight.

Love the great singing pose and beautiful colors, Judy. A slightly less complicated perch would have been nice, but its refreshing to see something other than a fencepost too! This brings back many fond memories of my home in Kansas...their song around this time of year was a reminder that winter was not permanent! :)

Judy lovely bird, pose and beautiful BG on this image. I'm still hoping to get a decent image of this species but the one here are very shy when they are here in the summer.

Good to see one of these on Overstreet not on a post or wire. The perch doesn't bother me at all. I think we sometimes get hung up too much on capturing the bird perfectly and forget where they live. I like everything about it except it is a tad too sharp.

This is such a splendid bird!
I have nothing to add but my noble envy :)
I wish only for a better substratum for that lovely bird :)

Great colours, sharpness and pose with a very nice BG. I am not sure about the perch.
