Very lovely capture with a beautiful pose and excellent detail. I love the great look on his face and how he blends in so well with the BG. I would like to see a ltad more room as I find the crop a bit tight but still a great image. Thansk for sharing Steve.

Wow, Steve, this is nice! I love the camouflage on display here, but do wish that you could have cropped a little less and still kept the tree background (not that you could have altered the tree size). I'm not an avid cloner, but I would be very tempted to try this without the branch to the left of the head...it just seems to take my focus away from the eyes. Despite my small suggestions, I love the image and would be quite proud to have it in my collection...gorgeous bird!

I like the tight crop here Steve and the camouflage effect of plumage and tree bark. I agree with your reasoning that blotches of white sky in the BG would have been detrimental to this composition. Well done!!

Lovely camo set up. Very sharp and good exposure.

I like it. They way the bark and the feather patterns meld together is what this image is about to me. The crop doesn't bother me at all, but if you are so inclined, it would be easy to add some tree all around. I like it as is though.

LOve this one, as is. Were it mine, it would be printed large and framed. Very well done.
