    Default Pick Me !

    Hi Guys,

I know that there's a lot amiss with this, Head angle, wing shadow etc. i like it despite the faults. It's virtually full frame and I've taken half a bird from the left. I could add some canvas left for a little more balance.
    Any comments appreciated

Really nice image. Lots of great detail and colour. The birds look great in flight. I'ld probably go for a tighter crop on the 5 main birds though.

I like it. Nice and sharp, with good color. Light seems pretty harsh. In this case it would be really easy to select just the birds and run a bit of s/h to see if that helps. Interested to hear what the experts say. Mark's crop suggestion would be worth a try.

I like Marks suggestion but would have getting rid of the lone bird ... great wing position ... but would make a stronger image.

.... now for something different and fun ... why don't you select the bird and place at you will, eliminate the one merge (amazing you had only one) and might come up with a neat looking image plus is a great PS workout !! ... one suggestion if you are going to try. Start with al all blue bottom layer the place the ducks on separate layers so you can move them around, remember they can be distorted to make it look different etc !!! Have fun !!!:)

Hi Chris, I took Al's advice and had some fun with the image. I cloned out the merging bird and moved the bird from the lower right and repositioned it and slightly resized it. I also did some S/H and some burning. Not too often have I seen a group of Shovelers in flight.

    Well well,

I don't know why, but the original always made me smile when I viewed it, now having seen the "improvements" I laugh. Thanks for the suggestions, I will give it a go but it'll be new territory for me PS wise but should be fun.
I'll try to hold myself back Lance:):)

I think Lance's Shovelers just came from a vat of Wild Turkey. Like Dave's repost.
