    It was a dull miserable day nothing much happened at the hide then it started to rain and I caught this amusing image - hope you like it. All comments welcome.

    Very nice image. I like the pose and detail. I'm not sure if the rain adds to the pic?

    Nice one Jonathan, great detail and subtle colours.
    The rain streaks distract somewhat i must admit.

    Great detail. Too bad you didn't have enough light; I would've liked to have at least the feet in DOF range if not the entire tail.

    Although I find the rain drops interesting, I must agree that they do distract.
    I like the feather detail captured

    I agree this is a compromise image, at first I wasn't sure about the rain drops either but having said that I have plenty of images without them, it was a case of presenting a slightly different image. Regards DOF I have come to accept that it is rare to get sufficient light to provide the DOF required at this magnification, I agree if the feet were sharper the image would be somewhat better.
