    Default Snowy Egret

When this Snowy Egret landed right in front of me I was almost too close to get the picture. I did not have to crop the picture at all. He did not stay long as the perch was not very stable. I manged to take several frames before he flew off to a more stable perch.

Lovely warmish portrait. I like the stance on the bending unstable perch. Good eye contact. Wish that the LHS foot weren't covered by leaves. Although OOF and nice colors, the BG is somewhat distracting. Maybe selective blurring the BG would help.

Very unique BG. I like it. liked the sharpness and DOF as well. Snowy egrets are graceful and very photogenic. They just seem natural talented at posing :-)

I really like the pose. The wide stance and the unstable perch convey how precariously this bird is perched.
I wish the right foot wasn't covered.
I like the variegated BG, except the swath that intersects the bill and meets the bird's shoulder.

Man, I love the flaming BG (perhaps a bit of noise removal needed)! I would only do some work on the subtle light blotch just a bove the bill, and the very bright area just below the foot. Awesome pose, and I like the comp.

Here is a repost of the image. I applied some noise reduction in photoshop and added a slight guassian blur of 3pixels on the background. I also covered up the white spot at the bottom and the lighter spot above the bill. I also lightened the strip intersecting the bill and covered the strip above the bill. If you look at the repost let me know if you think it is an improvement.
