    Hello Ken,
Beautiful pose and eye contact - you managed to press the shutter at exactly the right second for maximum impact. There seems to be some loss of feather detail and I'm not sure why - I'll leave that to the experts! Perhaps this is a large crop?
    Best,
    Nicki

Nice pose, ey contact and BG. Looks over sharpened to me.

HI Ken - does appear a tad soft - as Nicki mentioned is it a large crop???
Did you have to lighten this with shadows/highlights or run NR over the whole image??

    Hi Ken

Exposure wise don't think you could have done much more, top of head is right at the edge but fine, could have used more light under the wings ... most of these with great detail are taken at the beach with light reflected of the sand !!!

Pose wise I would like to see the wings fully open and settings wise go to a higher ISO. This year I have been concentrating on more shutter speed, my keeper rate has gone up !!!
