Great wing position and eye contact. The color of the BG is perfect for the subject. Unusual vertical comp works well.

Great exposure, incident setting in manual looks spot-on. Great wing position and vert is framed well - strong image.

Magnificent image of an equally magnificent bird!

Love the composition, the pose, and especially the way the overall black and white scheme is complemented by the yellow beak and feet as focal points and the subtle blues of the background.

Great wing position as noted... I really like the varied background due to the broken ice - provides a little variety while still being a uniform background in my opinion.

    Hi Charles,

Looks like it is the same bird as your earlier shot... I really love the full reaching wings... looks great... magnificent creature. I am completely uninitiated with NIK software... would you mind explaining (briefly) its role in your PP for this shot.

    Many thanks,

    Gerald

NIK Color Effex Pro filters are highly recommended.
I used the white neutralizer for removing wing color cast, and tonal contrast to enhance highlight detail and add dimensional quality.

Impressive capture of an impressive raptor. Lovely wing position and intense stare - great exposure on the whites too
