Hi Indranil, Love the pose of the bird. The Topaz gave it a nice subtle painted look. The whites look like they might be a little hot. Also, it looks like the focus was a bit off since the two long feathers in back look to be the sharpest area. Nothing real serious, but sharpening the head, and especially the eye, would make a big improvement IMO.

Hi Christopher, thanks for the feedback. You are correct; the whites are little hot. Although I am not sure why the focus upfront is not sharp. Maybe Topaz simply softens it a bit more for he lighter colors compared to the darker back feathers. Original focus was on the bill... here is the original...

Finally I got a chance to work on this image! I reduced the sharpness on the tail end, de-saturated the blue and sharpened the eye region. Here is the repost...

Hi Indranil, Nice repost. Eye sharpness looks fine now. Comparing the two reposts though, it looks like you lost sharpness on the wing and back. I would restrict the reduced sharpness to just the feathers sticking up.

Hi Indranil. The last post looks really good to me. I don't mind the focus tapering off at the tail. Seems to help draw the eye to the head. Like the subtle Simplify treatment.

Hi Christopher, thanks for the suggestions. Appreciate it a lot. I did try both; reducing just the tail and progressively OOF for the tail section. As the bird is angled, this looked more natural to me and as Kerry said - keep the focus on the eye and open bill. What you think.
