Photographed in Brazil. This female was none too pleased to see me but only approached so far and then decided to run into the brush. Processed in PS with dry brush filter.

Nancy, I like the head on pose. The filter work looks good. It has a painterly feel to it. Beautiful eyes. It looks a bit tight on the bottom. I might clone the dark spot in the bg. Nice original capture.

Thanks, Denise. The dark spot is actually the tip of the tail. Do you think I should still remove it? And I agree she needs more room on the bottom under her feet.

Nancy, Not the tail -the spot on the left of the animal up by the top edge:)

Nancy, I really like the stalking pose. Nice filter effect. I agree with Denise that the dark spot is a bit distracting.

Beautiful pose and eye contact, Nancy. Very nice colors and painted look. I might try cropping it to a tight portrait.

Like it as presented. The PP looks great. Cloning out the spot would kick it up a notch IMO:)

I love the effect you achieved here, Nancy, but that front foot is somehow bothering me. I know it is bent back while taking a step but the effect leaves me thinking it's missing. I'd leave the tail and clone the other leaf/dark spot.

Love the effect here but, it should have been a vertical!!!!!! I do like the stalk on our left. What lens--1-4??? If yes, what focal length?

I used the Canon 300 f4 L IS lens. I saw her curled up in the distance and tried creeping up on my elbows thru the grass. She watched me very carefully and then when she decided I was too close or maybe too weird:) she stood up and started towards me in this threatening way.

Nancy, I really like the pose and action captured! Processing and colors are nicely done. I think a vertical would work well also.
