Snowy Egret on High Alert

A snowy in full breeding plumage with head feathers raised in alert (or so goes my anthropomorphic imagination). This from Gatorland last Sunday morning. Full frame, D300, 300 f4 at 4.5, ISO 500, 1/400 sec, -1EV, tripod. I had several of this individual, preferring this image because of the serendipitous light on the eye and lores. Removed a OOF stick crossing horizontally behind at thigh level. High pass sharpened. C&C are always welcomed! My photography has improved markedly after joining this group last year. Many thanks.

Lovely crown display and composition. I think the eye could use another round of USM and I'd clone away the burnt whites on the chest. TFS.
