    Default Roadrunner in Winter

    I was photographing small birds near the backyard feeder when this fellow ran up and looked me in the eye long enough for two quick shots, then ran off. Canon 50D w/ 400 f4 DO w/ 1.4 ext. ISO 800 1/800 @ f16

    Sorry - I don't know how I managed to get two images - can't figure out how to delete one - Help!

    Good EXP, sharpening issue mentioned. BG keeps this image from reaching its maximum potential.

    Now there's a bird I'll probably never see in person. It does appear overly sharpened but don't back off so much that you lose the detail in those feathers - its quite something.
