    Default Chickadee in Studio

From the backyard "studio" - perch is clamped above the feeder with an old large Yellow Birch 10 feet behind.

    Bob:

Sharp on the eye, well exposed. I like the size and detail of the perch.

DOF a bit of an issue. Prefer it if the entire perch is sharp. In a setup, this is possible. I adjust the perch until it is parallel to the sensor, and verify with a couple of test shots.

Would also like to see the entire tail.

Backyard studios are lots of fun. As the weather perks up here, will be doing likewise.

Randy covered the nits well. Sweet capture and good detail and expo.

I really like the colors and the pose. As mentioned, I'd like to see the whole tail, and a little more DOF for the perch would be nice.

Nice setup, Bob at 15.5 feet with a 500MM you should be in nice position for a Chickadee image. I assume the tail was clipped my mistake (I have done the same) and you cropped from the right. Another option is to choose a sensor location off center - see current ABP #321 page 6 for an example.
