    Found this little guy this afternoon out at Antelope Island State Park in northern Utah, and was happy to get my first images of this species...

    7D @ 700mm
    1/1250 f/8 iso400

    C&C always appreciated.

    That is one cute fellow with a typical pose :)
    If you can, I'd selective lighten the eye in the shadow a couple of notches.
    Although I normally like darker borders, the OOF vignette works very well IMO.

    Nice soft textures in the plumage and habitat. The eye stands out well as a focal point. Light angle was a challenge.
