I had been travelling this week and not had much opportunity to work on images... so here is one more for this week's theme. This was taken few years ago. Although the bird has passed me and the light angle not being ideal, I still liked this image because of the colors and how the eye is lit up with the sun falling on the drake. I applied Topaz Simplify on a different layer and changed the opacity. Added a layer mask and brought back the eye. Hope you like it and your C&C will be appreciated...

Indranil, This has a really nice painterly look to it. I like the way the greens are shown off. The BG color is beautiful.

love those pumped up colors, indranil!! only thing i might do is clone some texture into the burnt area on the bottom left and clone out the white spot in the water close to the frame edge above the bird's bill. this has a nice mood to it. i'm glad the light reached the eye. makes a big difference!!

Beautiful colors and composition, Indranil. The image evokes a very peaceful, end of the day feeling.:)

Repost looks much better. Love the colors. Would you be able to lighten the front of the face a little bit without it the color becoming muddy?

Yes on the repost, Indranil - I love the colors and comp. The reduced opacity of the Topaz and using the mask made for just the right amount of detail. Well done.

Excellent repost, Indranil! That smooth texture and the bright colors really take this over the top.

Hi Fabs, Thanks for the suggestion; i can recover the colors in the front of the face and lighten it up. Here is another repost.
