Jeez...I need to get down to AZ. Wonderful feather detail and good use of flash. Really nothing technically wrong with this image. You could tone down the brightest feathers and the brightest part of the BG if you wanted to.

Very good portrait of this handsome bird. My only wish is to have a more uniform BG, one without the light part.

Excellent detail, good use of flash, and this is super sharp. I would tone down the front of the chest area.

Nice comp, great looking subject, and good detail. A little bright for my taste, I think some of the finer detail in the chest feathers could be brought out by slightly darkening.

    Well done.
I like the gaze (he seems so focus), sharpness and detail, colors and light.
The brighter part of the BG is the only minor drawback I see.

Really nice portrait, Sid. The eye contact and feather detail are excellent. I agree with the above comments regarding the brightness of the chest and BG. Would like to see that toned down a bit.

Pose is nice and I like the background although I would try and tone down the area right in front of the chest.

    Detail is excellent.

To me, the image looks flashed and I likely would have had the EC on the flash down lower.

Hi Sid, Really nice head shot love the detail and the eye. I know your thoughts about judging images on different monitors but the image does look bright on my monitor so I pull the image into PS to check the values and the whites on the breast are reading in the 253-254 range and the histogram for the red channel is clipped pretty good. Probably happen when you converted to sRGB for the web

Beautiful head portrait, another vote for toning it down. I haven't seen one of these since Bosque three years ago.

Very sharp with a nice image design. A bit too bright perhaps because of the flash. The large light area of the BKGR bugs me the most.

Sid, lovely details. The feathers on the forehead are gorgeous. I liked this comp with the space in front of the bird. Well done.
