Default My First Shot of Spring 2010 - Springtime for Eagles

Taken this late afternoon in Western Broward County.
    7d+500 4.0L + 1.4x TCII
    1/1250
    F/5.6
    ISO 200
    Ev - 1/3

I exposed for the highlights and adjusted shadows on lower body and feet with viveza II in processing
this is full frame shot, couldn't crop cause of the huge wing span on this guy.

Wonder if I should have gone to ISO 400 on this ....

Like the pose Mike, focus seems to be on the BG instead of the bird and BG a bit busy, These guys are huge BTW!!! would go to 800 ISO and stop down to f/11 for more dof. TFS

wish for lots of nice pics in the spring

I rarely drop below ISO 400 for exactly that reason. More shutter speed and/or DOF. The noise penalty is negligible, but the benefits are many.

Looks too dark and saturated on my monitor.
    Great takeoff position though.

Hi Micahael - agree with the comments above re ISO and DOF. 800 is my starting point these days.
Does look a tad dark on my screen - but need to protect those whites as well.
    Hope to see more :)
