    James;

    A big welcome to BPN. Great place to learn and grow.

    Like your low angle, very intimate. Sharp and well exposed. Food item? a plus.

    From a comp standpoint, I wish that the top of the first curve in the neck was visible, and the back of the leg wasn't cut off by the framing.

    Thanks for sharing, hope to see more. By the way, please include your lens info with each post, it helps us critique and understand the image.

    Cheers

    Randy

    I like your idea, but I think it may have looked better as a vertical to include the curve of the neck and the missing part of the leg.
    Big welcome to BPN!

    The setting here are so beautiful. BG, greens and water make it very special.
    I agree with Randy and Fabs regarding the neck, leg and crop.

    James, wow this is cool! It sure shows your dedication and planning to get such a tight image of a wild flamingo. I'm intrigued by Fabiola's idea of a vertical, but I still like this scene. The water dripping from the bill and even the green sprigs of grass on the left keep me interested. Nice work!

    The more I look at it the more I like it. The bg and water below the bird is very nice. I agree with having more of the bird's neck and leg in the photo, and not as much space on the left.
