I created this image on our trip in May 2009 to hike the Fish River Canyon in Namibia. On the way back after the hike we spent 2 days in a small National Park called Augrabies Falls in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. Whilst on a game drive that morning, we got out at a "you-may-leave-your-vehicle" spot called Moon Rock. It is basically a HUGE round boulder jutting out of the ground. Scaling it lends you a stunning vista of the surrounding landscape.
I was sitting on my butt with a mini tripod shooting sunrise images, and turned around to snap this one of my friends taking in the view. They were standing next to a kind of "altar" that was built be presumably the first people to climb this rock.
