I am excited to finally joining this forum after spending several months lurking from afar. Since childhood I have been in awe of birds, and darn near got a degree in Avian Sciences some 30 years ago, but couldn't figure out how that would provide a livelihood, so I headed a different direction. Anyhow, my career in the livestock industry and my family have dominated my time for so long, I found myself with no hobby and few vices. After being told that I needed to get a life outside of work, I finally decided to take the plunge in photography. It's been a year since taking it up, and I now find myself not only passionate about it, but virtually consumed with everything photographic! I live in a state that offers unparallelled photographic opportunities, and my career has me traveling throughout the eight northwest US states, opening the door to incredible options for capturing the natural beauty of many of the last best places on earth.
As we get to know each other, I am looking forward to learning from our interaction as we share our mutual passion in avian photography. And, of course, your honest critique of my photos is something I am eager to receive, however it may take me awhile to feel the confidence to be a critic of your's!
Welcome Ken. Been through Roundup many times (fishing mostly). Was born in Harlo but my folks decided to move away:(. Have been looking for a way to move back for years (kids create a problem with that). Hope to see your work.
